 The June monthly meeting will be held at 5:30 PM Sat the 18th at the Roundabout Cafe and Tavern (formally Rudy’s)  in Youngsville. The address is 327 Iberia St in the Midtown Plaza. No ride is planned but please try to attend the meeting. We need to talk about the Rally including the shirts and pins. Look forward to seeing everyone there.

 The monthly meeting is at 6 pm Saturday the 21st at Sicily’s in Broussard. Please make the meeting if you can, we will be discussing the 2011 Rally and we need some participation. Ray Jeffers will lead a ride to Jimmy Davis State park in Chatham Louisiana. We are considering this park as a possible rally venue and would like to have as many riders as possible make the trip to look the place over. I went there myself Sunday am I think it would be a real good fit. The park is about 190 miles from Lafayette. It’s a 3 plus hour ride one way so we will need to leave no later then 8:30 am to make the round trip and have time to check out the park and eat lunch. The ride will depart from the I - Hop on 49 at Gloria Switch. Please be fueled and ready for kickstands up at 8:30. Again please make the ride and the meeting if you can. 
If you were unable to attend the Family fun day at Palmetto Island state park you missed a good time. The kids had a blast on the splash pad. Thanks To Ray Jeffers, Buddy Cedars and everybody that helped with the cooking duties. And also to all the ladies that helped set up and break down the serving tables.

Its been a long time since I have posted anything. It goes without saying that its been a tough year in the oil industry.

I would like to invite all Rig Riders of Acadiana members to join us May 7Th for a family day at Palmetto Island State Park. Lunch will be provided. Bring your kids and grand kids for a day of fun. This is a membership drive event so bring any potential new members for a visit. We have the conference center reserved which is by the information center. Come on out and enjoy some good food, visit old friends and meet some new ones. I hope to see everyone there. Please RSVP with a head count so we can plan the food.
